The goslings are growing, and need their sleep. These two decided to crash right beside the busy bike path. So the parents took turns standing sentinel. Any dog going past was angrily challenged and owners dragged them quickly away.
A pic from two years back, when Sid and I would go for these long walks clear around the tennis courts and into the "woods" behind them. Sid was quite the jungle cat, stalking for small game.
