So the show was mostly a car show, it's obvious the car-exhibitors paid for the whole thing, practically, and the rest was window-dressing. Definitely, the panels discussions were, which tackled no larger societal or industrial issues. The many BC Hydro staff present deflected all questions about utility strategy, and only discussed consumer-level service.
So, when not listening lightly to the panels, I wandered around taking pictures of cars. It was surprisingly hard. The lighting is actually low, I took many blurred shots; and the display by intention has these bright highlights bouncing off every super-shiny car. (Will somebody ever make a car with a matte paint job, deliberately dull?) Today, let's get the luxury vehicles out of the way. The eV industry has been mainly luxury purchases so far. That's why sales are off; when interest rates rose, luxury purchases were put off. First up, a "Lucid", a new brand in electric, very luxury - note the price.
But if you want a faster look, that would be the "Corvette E-Ray" their all-electric Stingray.
But, as Tom Cruise said 41 years ago: "Porsche. There is no substitute."
