Link to First Five Years of "Dora's Page", 2019-2024
I was looking at old "Dora's Page" posts yesterday and a very early one, in September 2019, said "Five Years Since We Sold The House", and realized I'd missed that tenth anniversary.
But this very week is ten years since I packed up my last sleeping bag from the floor, and moved Winston and myself down to your house. Connie was already in Vancouver, starting the renovation preparations.
Ten years since we were glad the sale went through, we'd been thinking the already-crashing Calgary economy would stop it, and we'd have to sell for less. Prices never really did drop much, but I still felt we made a "last minute escape".
I took nearly a hundred pictures of the view, over the years, most of them after it was electronic - there will be more old ones on film. These are just a few of the best.
But, below, we see the favourite memories: all those hundreds of meals on the front deck, with family and friends, just enjoying that wonderful view. Really got our money's worth - all those years, then again at sale.
My advice to all: buy a view.
I picked this one out of so many more because it wasn't just the view itself we enjoyed: it was watching the whole neighbourhood - and their dogs - enjoying the park.
