Last Blossoms, Maybe

Two pictures from over a week back, as the last blossoms fade and wither here.

First, what looks like an inviting meadow for a picnic in the flowers is more of a swamp, or at least the ground squishes underfoot to the point of filling your shoes if you were to try to walk it. These geese have the right kind of feet for walking around on it.

And this is just your basic picture of pretty blossoming trees, but for what may be the last "blossoms on the streets" picture of this spring, this one is at home: drawing admiring looks from passers-by on Chilco going past our place.

But ten days after this shot, I spent hours this morning watering, and these fine flowers are all but gone. See you next year.
