Heron Nesting Season

Out on my jog yesterday, I came across a cluster of tourists with, not just big cameras, but a telescope:

What's Up with them? It's Heron Nesting Season, and they were pointed up at a tall tree with multiple nests, all with hungry Herons feeding.

That's with my phone camera stretching the "zoom" to a factor of eight, and they're still hard to see. When a parent stretches out its huge wings, you can see plainly then. But, I didn't have the telescope.
