2020 February 21 - Scroungers of Stanley Park

Sorry I'm late today; the whole thing slipped my mind. Fortunately, I have two pictures awaiting your attention for a few days now. The Scroungers of Stanley Park are the animals that have become so used to handouts that they just hang out in the one location, looking expectant, assured that free food is coming.

The little bridge over the outflow from Lost Lagoon is the worst; there are at least three species of birds sitting around on the bridge sides at all times, awaiting free crumbs and seeds, and, probably Mars Bars.

Then, at Beaver Lake, there's this one infamous bridge - I've taken pictures of the birds here before, getting literal handouts, sitting on tourist hands, to eat. And also, a chipmunk. Here's another, just sitting there, already so stuffed with the seeds scattered around him that he can eat no more.

Disgraceful.
